Working Hard

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men," - Colossians 3:23 NIV

Working hard is not easy. It requires discipline, endurance and determination. It also requires us to know for what and to whom are we working hard. If our friends and parents or social status and attention are our sole motivators for working hard, we may become disappointed, weary and even discouraged when we don't get what we want. Let us draw near to God and work hard for His glory.

Prayer for Today: Dear Lord, help me to be passionate over the work I have to do. Remind me, when I'm tired, distracted or simply disinterested, that everything I do is a reflection of your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.
