Continual Hope

"As for me, I will always have hope;
    I will praise you more and more." Psalm 71: 14 NIV

It's hard to have hope after you've been let down. We all know the feeling of having been let down and then thinking that having hope is a waste of time. We turn bitter and even close our hearts. But, the beautiful thing about God is, in Him we can hope forevermore. People will always promise us the world, but being human, they can fail to hold true to their word. It is only when we put our hope in God's Word, will we never be let down; His promises are always Yes and Amen. Let's approach the Word in anticipation of finding the promises He's waiting to fulfill in our lives.

Prayer for Today: Dear Lord, thank you for your Word. Thank you that all your promises prove to be true. Please help me to remember that when humans show themselves fallible, you are always infallible. Help me to always put my trust in you. Help me to always keep your praises on my lips while I wait. In Jesus' name. Amen.
